Have a TORTally Merry Christmas

HELLO – and welcome to our last posting before Christmas… Yes it is upon us well and truly.

It’s been a busy time at ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.

It’s the Season of goodwill and giving and we were pleased to gift a set of signed ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books to our local food hub. They went into gift hampers to be handed out and the organisers posted a lovely note about it all. Very best wishes to all involved.

We did our final school visit of 2024 – at Swallow Dell Primary school in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Three great storytime sessions – supersize thanks to all involved there.

The visit to Swallow Dell ended a run of more than 90 primary school storytime sessions this year. We salute all the schools we have visited across England and Wales. Thanks and Diolch to everyone we have met. Amazingly – we have bookings to visit schools up to June in 2025 already. Busy times ahead. We can’t wait.

We were thrilled to meet some brilliant young authors .. and to see some of their amazing work. We hope to see more when they are back in school.

With our final school event completed, everyone at ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg HQ allowed themselves to feel a bit festive… Real ALBERT, picturebook Albert, Hugg and Bugg, T Rex plus author bloke…

We are looking slightly ahead to next year… One early date for the diary… On Thursday January 9 from 11am we will be at Oakmere Library, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire – with our ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg storytime sessions and book stall. More dates for the diary soon.

We will be doing a special final look back at 2024 before New Year.. and a look forward to 2025. Exciting times ahead… with our new deal for Brand Albert, animated Albert and more school, library, festival events plus bookshop visits. Also, videos with Bookmark Reading Charity and much more.

In the meantime, we created a new, original painting of book Albert to wish one and all Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Thank you as ever for all the support you show us.. More news soon. Til next time…
