Albert is a real tortoise who has inspired a series of heart-warming, award winning books for children and tortoise lovers. 

Albert is a Greek spur-thighed tortoise and is more than 80 years-old. He lives with author Ian Brown and his family. 

Albert has inspired picturebooks, board books and an activity book as well as ebooks, audiobooks and animated ebooks. Currently a full 3D CGI series of Albert animations are also being worked on.  The books have been translated into Welsh, Korean, Maltese and Spanish.
