So Many Headlines

HELLO and welcome to the very latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.

As ever, lots going on.. and lots to report on.

We were delighted to make some headlines in the wake of our visit to Worcester to launch the Curious Minds Children’s Literary Festival at Script Haven bookshop.

Thanks to Worcester News for the coverage.

There was a JOKE headline too… as we marked April 1st and April Fools’ Day. Seems ALBERT might not actually be the new James Bond – just yet… There is always time.

We were pleased to catch up with this school report – rather belatedly – on our visit to Normanhurst School in North Chingford for an ALBERT & Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebook storytime. Thanks to everyone involved.

As you know too well, we love to receive pictures from YOU of poses with our books and other goodies. So, we were delighted to receive this of a reader from Scotland who discovered ALBERT AND THE SHED in a local library. Please do support libraries – and do please keep sharing those pictures.

Then, even more headlines .. this time about our first book in Spanish .. as the first Spanish newspaper picked up on the arrival of ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN in Espanol as ALBERT al Reves. We have offered the translation here as well… Thanks to all at El Iberico newspaper.

This gave us an excuse to run other headlines – and multi-lingual things to remind everyone of our other translations…

Yes.. ALBERT books are now available in SPANISH, KOREAN, MALTESE AND WELSH.. as well as English.. and are now available in Australia and all points between.

Another headline – sort of – as we went official with the announcement that we are now delighted to be acting as an Ambassador for literacy charity Literacy Pirates as they expand their work in schools across the UK. We look forward to working with them and to boosting reading skills and confidence.

See?.. we said lots going on. More news soon. Thanks as ever for all the support you show us. It is truly much appreciated.

Til next time…
