Hello and welcome to the very latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
Loads occurring.. we shall dive straight in.
Last time we were just about to head to our local bookshop – Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford for a special storytime event – partly marking the launch of the new Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebook THE RACE.
We had a FAB time – as we always do. We told Hugg ‘n’ Bugg stories and ALBERT stories too. Supersize thanks to everyone involved – especially Jo and team. Please do support YOUR local bookshops.
We also always urge you to support libraries .. and we were delighted to gift two copies of Hugg ‘n’ Bugg THE RACE to Chingford Library adding to the other titles from our book series already on their shelves.
We’re bringing our storytime event to another local library on TUESDAY APRIL 8 from 3.30pm at Walthamstow Library… at their Springtime Festival. The fun starts at 2.30pm and we are scheduled for 3.30pm. There will be storytelling, tortoises, dinosaurs, yetis, giveaways and more…
Before we knew it, we were off on our travels again.. to the Farnham, Hook area of the Surrey, Hampshire borders – teaming wiht ace indie bookshop Blue Bear Bookshop of Hartley Wintney, Hamspshire.
Working with the super booksellers, we visited hundreds of schoolchildren at Primary and Infant schools in Farnham, Hartley Wintney, Hook, Hale, Dogmersfield and more.
It was a brilliant run of events and we say a massive thanks to all the schools and to the booksellers.
We were even introduced to our Star Author display in one school library… Brilliant!
Our events were rounded off with a fab storytime session with these Caterpillars in Blue Bear bookshop itself. An excellent way to finish.

Then .. on Saturday April 26 we’re at Waterstones, Brentwood, Essex for ALBERT the tortoise, Hugg ‘n’ Bugg storytime. Stories, tortoises, yetis, dinosaurs and giveaways.
