ALBERT GOES EAST

HELLO and welcome to the latest from Albert the tortoise HQ with our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg the yeti and the flea.

Lots of news already after our epic road trip recently.

First big news is we are heading East. Far East. The first two Albert picturebooks ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN and ALBERT AND THE WIND are being translated and will be on sale in South Korea. We are very excited. What we have seen of the books so far is amazing. More news when we have it.

We are up for another award – always exctiting. Thius time for picturebook ALBERT AND THE POND. We are on the long list of possivle winners of the Children’s Literature festivals Book Award 2024. This will be voted by librarians. We have fingers – and claws crossed.

We’re thrilled to be heading to the North east of England to Darlington and Whitley Bay to talk to hundreds of schoolchildrens for the Northern Children’s Book Festival. Last year at the event we got on the telly with ITV Tyne Tees news. Who knows this year.

Also delightful was chatting with Alice Hopkins on BBC Radio Berkshire and Oxford all things ALBERT the tortoise and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks. Some real Albert too.

More news from us soon. Lots going on.

Till next time.
