IT’S POND-ERFUL

HELLO – welcome to the very latest from ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.

So much is occurring. It is all very exciting.

Real Albert is enjoying the heatwave currently. Eating well – loving a supply of dandelion leaves.

He’s also overseeing many activities…

The new ALBERT picturebook ALBERT AND THE POND launched and we have had some lovely feedback.

A great review from Read Reading Hub book blog. Words used include WONDERFUL, BRILLIANT, EXPRESSIVE, HUMOROUS… Please do keep Posting YOUR Book Reviews for all our titles.

We had some lovely responses to the book from Albert’s tortoise chums as well.. Like Albie the tortoise and Prince Toby Tortoise.

Thanks chaps! This was Toby’s brilliantly to the point Review…

We also Received this terrific 5* review…  We are thrilled.

We were thrilled to hear from a school we visited a while ago – John Stainer in Brockley. We were interviewed back then by budding journalists Jess and Betsey. This week we received a copy of the newspaper the piece was for and it was a great article. Well done!!

We have also been making Headlines in Wales.. ahead of our visit soon ..

We are set to visit three schools and award winning bookshop Griffin Books. Here we are in the Barry and District News and the Penarth Times.

We’re taking our Albert and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime to Rhws and Romllly schools in Barry and we’re heading to Cogan Primary in Penarth..  There we will also be receiving our Cogan Heroes Picturebook Awards for ALBERT SUPERSIZE. We are very excited.

Then on Saturday July 1 from 11am we will be at Griffin Books in Penarth – winner of the UK Independent Bookshop of the Year 2023! We are looking forward to a fab morning.

It’s been all about Indie Bookshops this week.. in Independent Bookshop Week. We headed to our local shop – Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford with a storytime event and we signed books and met some lovely customers. Thanks to all involved. Please support your local bookshops.

Keeping it local we had a grand day at our local LIBRARY DAY in support of this great local asset. Thanks to everyone who swung by the stall and took an interest.

All was rounded off – with another lovely write-up about ALBERT AND THE POND .. calling it CHARMING! Thank you.

Thank you as always for all the support you give us. It means so much.

More soon.. Til next time..
