HELLO –
The latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ .. and our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg..
Busy times continue. Much to our delight.
We received a smashing new write-up on new ALBERT picturebook ALBERT AND THE POND.. massive thanks to Prince Toby Tortoise and his wrangler Dr Lucy… who blogged about the book in their The Reptile Files blog.
We also had a smashing Review from two young readers.. and a book pose in Waterstone’s bookshop in Kingston, Surrey. Thanks to Amelie and Elodie.. and writer Marielle Bayliss whose own picturebook FROG’S BOG is a favourite with us.
Please keep sharing YOUR book pictures and posting Book Reviews.
The tail end of Independent Bookshop Week saw a very speedy return for us to local bookshop Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford.. Copies of Albert books and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books were restocked and we were asked back in to sign the fresh copies. Always a pleasure to do so.
We were also delighted to be invited to install a new window display at our local library to mark new ALBERT picturebook ALBERT AND THE POND.. so we got crafting and made some goldfish.. found some “pond” paper and accessories.. and we got busy.. with other Albert books on show too – plus a touch of Hugg ‘n’ Bugg as well. We have gifted copies of all Albert and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books to our library – and many others as well. Please support YOUR libraries. Great local assets.
The next few days see us heading to Wales.. where we are looking forward to visiting three schools and Independent Bookshop of the Year Griffin Books in Penarth – we’ll be there Saturday July 1 from 11am… storytelling and signing books.. with yetis, tortoises, dinosaurs and giveaways..
More on all that next time..
Thank you as always for all the support you show us. It is very much appreciated.
Til next time…
