HELLO –
The latest news from ALBERT HQ – with our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg…
Lots going on. Let’s get stuck in.
Firstly – real Albert sleeps on. Not warm enough for him to wake yet. Heading to his 5 months asleep. That’s his usual form. After a cold snap recently, fingers crossed things warm up and stir him. We know a lot of you want to see him.
Some more from our recent World Book Day visit to John Stainer school in Brockley. They did a lovely report on the visit and also sent through some more “action shots” which we are very happy to share with you. Once again – thanks to all at the school.
Our next school visit was a return visit – to Wood End School in Harpenden, Hertfordshire – an early friend of the Albert books. Multiple storytime sessions and lots of talk of real Albert. Supersize thanks to the school librarian and staff and all involved.
Next we were doing Radio – with Connor Moseley at BBC Radio Surrey & Sussex. We will let you know when the interview is due to be broadcast. It’s a lot about the NEW Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebook – THE COMB which officially publishes on March 24.
We’re on a radio roll – with chats upcoming with old chums.
We will be talking with Simon Parkin at BBC radio Somerset.. about a visit to The Snug Bookshop in Langport, Somerset and to Huish Episcopi primary school in Somerset on March 23.
Then we are chatting once more with Tiffany Truscott at BBC Radio Cornwall about our storytime event at Waterstone’s Truro on Saturday March 25.
We’ve been busy at our local library again.. Absolutely delighted to be invited to install a window display to mark publication of Hugg ‘n’ Bugg book 2 – The Comb.
We gifted two books to the library.
We even added a little Albert display as well.
Of course, this Saturday March 18 from 11am we will be at Jo’s Bookshop, North Chingford with stories, giveaways, dinosaurs, yetis and loads more.
Lots going on and we will keep you updated. Thank you as ever for all the support.
Til next time…
