HELLO and welcome to the latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
We start with major news… We have been teasing this for a while and we didn’t want to hold back any more. After a lot of behind the scenes action, we are thrilled to announce two amazing deals for ALBERT.
We are now looking to take ALBERT into other product such as greetings, toys, gaming, clothing and more as we have signed a Licensing Management agreement with specialists Brands with Influence (BWI).
We are also looking to bring Albert to television in full blown animation. – As you might know, we already offer all the Albert picturebooks as animated ebooks. But now we are looking at 3D CGI Albert.
We have also signed with the sister company of Brands with Influence – animation production company 3Megos. We are working with them and with animation studio Charactershop to develop a series and we will be taking a trailer and more to the KidScreen summit in San Diego in February 2025.
News of this brace of deals and the plans is already breaking in the Trade Press.
It is really thrilling to be taking Albert on the next part of this amazing journey.
Brands with Influence already look after the interests of major properties like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Vegesaurs and many more.
The only member of the Albert team unaware of this development is real Albert himself – as he is sound asleep in hibernation. We will be sure to tell him as soon as he wakes. We’re sure he will be tortally delighted – and might even shellebrate.
Meanwhile, we were thrilled to receive ace Praise for our latest Albert board book ALBERT 123 from book blogger katys_book_shelf … who used words like LOVE, FANTASTIC + GREAT! Thank you – we are most grateful.
A little reminder for those that might be able to join us.. on Saturday November 30 from 4pm we will be part of the special festive Christmas shopping Evening at Waterstones bookshop in the Liberty mall in Romford, Essex. Signed books… ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg … plus giveaway stickers, bookmarks and colouring sheets .. and mince pies.
