HELLO – welcome to the very latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
You know how we like to hear from our publishers in South Korea… New pictures have arrived of our ALBERT books at another book fair there.
ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN & ALBERT AND THE WIND looking good on display…
We have been on our travels ourselves.. but not quite as far as South Korea… We went to Surrey and to the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames (no less) to visit libraries run by Kingston Library Service to share our ALBERT the tortoise and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime events.
We had a hoot…
First stop was Kingston Library itself… Storytelling, tortoises, yetis, dinosaurs, crafting… book signing…
Thanks to everyone involved at Kingston.
Then, we headed to Tolworth Library…
Thanks to the team at Tolworth for a super afternoon…
Next we visited New Malden Library… Thanks to all the team and those who came along.
Then, we were off to Hook Library…
It truly was a pleasure to visit the libraries to talk about real Albert, tell some of our stories including Hugg ‘n’ Bugg. Thanks to everyone who came along, ALL the fabulous librarians and all involved.
Please do support libraries if you can .. they are fab local assets. We were delighted to gift a number of our books to each of the libraries we visited.
We couldn’t be in the area of Kingston without popping into Waterstone’s bookshop in the Bentalls Centre in Kingston itself..
We were pleased to sign copies of ALBERT AND THE SHED plus latest Albert story ALBERT AND THE THIEF for the shelves. Thanks to the bookseller team at Kingston Waterstone’s.
We are super excited to be teaming with several indie bookshops soon… Full details coming..
But in October we will be teaming with Browsers bookshop in Porthmadog and with award-winning Book-ish in Crickhowell .. both in Wales .. to bring our ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg storytime sessions to pupils at 9 schools (and counting..)
We are very excited and look forward to this next road trip.
In the meantime… thanks to everyone for all the support you show us. It is much appreciated.
More news soon.. Til next time…
