HELLO – the latest news from Albert HQ and there is a lot going on…
First of all a couple of Radio pieces we did have now aired.
We were delighted to chat with Paul Franks at BBC WM – West Midlands – all about our visit soon to schools in Birmingham.
Thanks to Paul and all the team.
Also, our chat with Hannah at talk radio Europe also aired from their studios in Spain across Spain, France and beyond. We talked all about the latest Albert news and also about our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg and their books FINSDING HOME and THE COMB.
Also this week we were able to update our amazing list of Road trip commitments as we finalise upcoming bookshop and school events.
We’re thrilled to say that – so far – we are due to visit the following bookshops all round the country.
Our Albert and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime tour dates look like this:
February 13 2pm Waterstones, Bluewater in Kent.
February 18 11am Waterstones at Bradford Wool Exchange in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This is an amazing location…
March 25 11am Waterstones Truro, Cornwall
April 3 11:30am Waterstones Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
April 4 11am Southwold Books, Suffolk
with LOTS of schools in between and more bookshops being lined up each day.
We hope to see you along the way.
We heard from lovely Cogan school in Wales this week – as poupils enjoyed an amazing bi-lingual performances of Albert picturebook ALBERT SUPERSIZE – the one where Albert meets dinosaurs… The books were read in Welsh and English. TORTally ROARSOME! We’re on the school’s long list for a book Superhero award. We have fingers and claws crossed.
We’re getting very booked up for school visits tied to World Book Day and we are looking forward to meeting young readers everywhere.
More news very soon.
Til next time…
