Lots going on as ever…
We were thrilled with the launch of our new ALBERT picturebook ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS. Officially published on October 1, it is landing all over in bookshops, libraries and is all over the place online.
We have been all over the place trying to promote it…
We have already spoken with Behnaz Akhgar at BBC Radio Wales and that was a thrill.
Now we have also chatted with Julie Skentelbery at BBC Radio Cornwall… Thanks to Julie and all involved for a fab chat about the new book and all things ALBERT.
We headed into the studios of BBC Radio London to meet with Shay Kaur Grewal and had a super chat for the School Run slot on the afternoon show. Once again – supersize thanks. We talked about real Albert, book Albert, Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.. getting children to read, the work of Bookmark Reading Charity and the launch of Children in Read – the online book auction that helps raise money for BBC Children in Need. You can bid for copies of ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg THE RACE – and you will get signed, dedicated books plus some other goodies. Just head to Children In Read and get bidding.
We have also been catching up with Babs Michel for the East of England on BBC Radio … talking to BBC Essex, BBC Three Counties (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire), BBC Norfolk and BBC Suffolk. Massive thanks to all involved.
We were also delighted to sign copies of the new book ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS in local bookshops… first at V and A Books and Gifts in Highams Park.
Then to Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford…
Remember – Saturday October 11 is Bookshop Day and we are marking it at Jo’s Bookshop with a special ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS storytime from 11am.
It’s always great to get good Reviews for our books… So you can imagine how pleasing it was to see the first Book Review on that shopping site.. actually from the USA…
Calling the book : LAUGHTER-INDUCING with JOYOUS LEARNING .. A MUST FOR YOUNG ANIMAL LOVERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD…

Further afield.. we were delighted as ever to see our books translated in Korean on show at a couple of book fairs in South Korea – thanks to our publisher there, sumjib.
It’s always a delight to see our books translated … and we have some exciting news on that coming soon…
Meanwhile, we have continued to visit schools with our storytime events… and we were delighted to meet nearly 500 schoolchildren at White Bridge Primary in Loughton, Essex recently.
