Lift Off for Albert

HELLO and welcome to the latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ – with our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.

Lots going on..

Firstly, we had a lovely launch day and official publication of the new ALBERT the tortoise picturebook ALBERT AND THE FLOOD. Some lovely messages from round the world.

It’s our magnificent 7th picturebook – all inspired by real Albert.

We’re also thrilled to say that we have received some great early Reviews for the book from round the world as well.

From close to home.. a great response from Book Blogger Jill Bennett at Red Reading Hub. With phrases like IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON + AUDIENCES WILL LAUGH.. we are very happy indeed.

We also had a great Review from America…  with comments like FUN, UTTERLY CHARMING & LAUGH OUT LOUD. Wonderful. Please remember to post a Review if you can.

New books are coming thick and fast…  June 18 is the official publication day for our new .. our second… Board Book ALBERT ABC. On thick, easy wipe pages with bright, colourful images, this is a journey through the Alphabet with Albert and his picturebook pals.

We were delighted to gift two early copies of the Board Book to our local library – adding to all the Albert books and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books that have previously been gifted there. Please do support libraries if you can. Great local assets.

Next week also sees Independent Bookshop Week. We hope you might support local indie bookshops where you can. On Saturday June 15 from 11am we will be at one of our local Indie bookshops for ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime … continuing the launch of ALBERT AND THE FLOOD. Come find us at Jo’s Bookshop, North Chingford if you feel inclined. Storytelling, book signing, tortoises, yetis, dinosaurs and giveaways.

Further afield we received new pictures of our Korean books from South Korea.. we love to see these translations of ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN & ALBERT AND THE WIND from the publishers there.

We’re now also plotting summer bookshop visits for the school holidays .. and autumn school events.

As ever, thank you for all the support you show us. Very much appreciated.

More news soon. Til nex ttime…
