HELLO –
Welcome to the very latest from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
Much to report…
Firstly .. our first ALBERT picturebook ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN turned THREE on April 7.
You might recall we ran a competition to SHELLebrate… All entrants had to do was tell us the name of our first Board Book.. The answer was ALBERT and his Friends.
As it was the THREE year anniversary of the picturerbook being published .. we decided to choose THREE winners. Each received a signed copy of the first 3 ALBERT picturebooks – ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN, ALBERT AND THE WIND & ALBERT SUPERSIZE along with some goodies.
Winners have shared pictures of their prizes.. We are delighted to have marked this occasion in such a way. Books went to Newquay in Cornwall, Ruislip in Greater London and Ivybridge in Devon.
Here’s some of the pictures the winners shared…
Also shared this week were shots from South Korea of the Korean versions of our first two Albert picturebooks front and centre at a book fair there thanks to our Korean publisher. We love seeing translations of our books …
It was also the turn of Hugg ‘n’ Bugg to be in the spotlight this week.. thanks to a great new review for new picturebook THE SURPRISE featuring the messy yeti and his tidy flea in a rhyming story about a birthday party.. a bout of jealousy and lots of new hairstyles…
Thanks to Book Blogger The Strawberry Post who used Praise such as GREAT, FUN and BRILLIANT..
Next time we should have more “being in the spotlight” news as we have been interviewed for a US magazine… and we’ve been booked to appear on a Podcast aimed at teachers, schools and book enthusiasts in the Cambridgeshire area .. and beyond.
More of all that soon… Til next time…
