HELLO – More news from Albert HQ. We hope all is well with you.
We are now into single figures on the days left until the new Albert the tortoise picturebook adventure is out in paperback. You can already find it in ebook and animated ebook.. But on April 7 the paperback of ALBERT SUPERSIZE is out. We are tortally excited. And we think quite a few of you are too.
Meanwhile, other business continues to keep us very busy.
We made a return visit this week to Wells Primary School in Woodford Green, Redbridge to talk tortoises and to read ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN to Nursery and Reception pupils. They were great and we loved meeting them and hearing their questions.
We have also started our publicity for the new book and that means recording a Podcast with publishers Graffeg.. More of that in days to come.
It also means Radio interviews…
It was great to chat with Ady Dayman at BBC Radio Leicester. Thanks to him and the team.
Then we joined Phil Harrison on BBC Radio Kent (Albert was a Gravesend tortoise for more than 50 years) in the Arts and Culture section.. Ooh.. Get us!! .. Thanks to Phil and the team.
We were also thrilled to return to Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford to sign a fresh stack of ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN and ALBERT AND THE WIND ahead of arrival of new book ALBERT SUPERSIZE.. Thanks Jo. .. We are plotting a special event with Jo and we will have more news on that soon.
We were, as always, pleased to receive new book pose pictures.. from Scarlett, aged just one! .. Amazing. Please do keep sending in your Book Pose pictures. We love to see Albert books in the wild as well as the T shirts and your drawings and stories about Albert. Do share with us.
More publicty in the form of a catch up on the Radio with Linda McDermott covering BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio Lancashire. Always nice to chat with Linda.
MORE publicity … chatting on BBC Radio London with Carrie Grant and David Grant. What a thrill.
What a week.. and we’re just gathering pace on the publicity trail for the new book.
Thanks as ever to everyone for all the support.
More news from us soon.. Til next time.
