HELLO – Here is the latest news from Albert HQ and it’s been a tortally amazing start to the year.. Our feet have hardly touched the ground.
We’ve been sorting all sorts of school visits and we were up for an award and we’ve had more celebrity praise for the picturebooks.. It’s incredible.
Firstly, we didn’t win the Bishop’s Stortford Picturebook Award – but it was great to be shortlisted with our debut book ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN and we were in great company. The ceremony was lovely to be part of, as well. We thank everyone involved for getting behind us.. We even got publicity out of it from the Bishop’s Stortford Independent newspaper and we had great support from the town’s branch of Waterstone’s. However, it seems unlikely the town and the award will be renamed Bishop’s TORTford any time soon. We had hoped…
We have had some amazing praise from another celebrity.. As you might already know Albert has taken the celebrity world by storm with praise coming in from the likes of Lydia Bright, Joe Sugg, Julian Clary, Jeremy Clarkson, Vicki Michelle, John Craven, Clive Mantle and Michael Aspel.. NOW they have been joined by Danny Miller – the reigning King of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and former star of Emmerdale.
Danny posted a cute video of him reading ALBERT AND THE WIND to his baby son – called Albert – on his insta. We are thrilled. Danny described the book as little Albert’s favourite..
In massive news we can also reveal that the third in the series of Albert books ALBERT SUPERSIZE which is out April 7th is now available for pre-order… We do encourage you to go to local book shops.. they are great! As you can see.. it MIGHT involve DINOSAURS…

The other massive news from us is that we have started our school visits.. We are delighted to be reading the Albert stories to children and to be talking about real Albert, his tortoise and turtle cousins and dinosaurs.
