HELLO – More news from Albert HQ and it’s ALL very exciting for us…
We have been booking a lot of school visits, we’re thrilled to say… We have fingers and tortoise toes crossed all will go smoothly.
We are set to travel the country in coming months and we can’t wait to meet pupils all over the place and talk about real Albert, his turtle and tortoise cousins and to read from the picturebooks ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN and ALBERT AND THE WIND.
Also… Albert has been On Show recently…
To our delight he is part of a LOCAL AUTHORS display in the window of our local library… We urge everyone to support their local libraries. They are a mervellous asset. We are set to do talks and readings at several libraries soon, as well.
You’ll be pleased to know that the twit standing outside, pointing is NOT part of the library display.
Albert is putting on a show as well at Waterstone’s bookshop in Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire. The book ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN is on the shortlist for the local Bishop’s Stortford Picturebook Award – part of the town’s Festival of Literature run by the Bishop’s Stortford College there. Albert finds himself in the shop window and on a special display inside the shop.. where wrangler and author Ian Brown was delighted to sign a stack of books. It was a return visit – and another visit is on the cards.. They books are proving very popular.
Albert likes putting on a show… So much so that he has also joined TIK TOK.. Oh yes he has.. As well as his spots on Facebook and twitter, he’s on tik tok as @alberttortoise – Go give him a follow and check out his little videos there.
