HELLO – and welcome to the very latest from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and from our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
It has been a busy time.. even though it’s holiday season. Let’s crack on…
We went on our travels to SUFFOLK… for special summer holiday events at bookshops in Southwold and Woodbridge.
Beforehand we had a super chat about our events with Jules Button and co-host Ruth Dugdall at Suffolk Sound Radio.
Thanks to all involved……
Then we were back at Southwold Books in Southwold and we had a super time. This bookshop was a very early supporter of the ALBERT books. We love visiting. We had a super storytime event. Thanks to everyone.
Another early supporter of our books was fabulous Woodbridge Books in Woodbridge… and we were delighted to be back there too. Fab storytime sessions and massive thanks to all involved.
We’re doing more school holiday events soon… On Friday August 16 from 11:30am we will be at Waterstone’s bookshop in Romford, Essex… There will be storytelling, book signing, tortoises, yetis, dinosaurs and giveaways… We hope to see you there..
Then – on Sunday August 18 from 11am we are at Easton Lodge Gardens near Great Dunmow.. with storytime sessions, a book stall.. again storytelling, dinosaurs, tortoises, yetis, giveaways… We hope to see you there…
We’re looking forward to those Essex events .. and we are also looking forward to chatting about them and all the latest Albert and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg news with Ben Fryer at BBC Radio Essex from about 12:15 on Tuesdaay August 13.
We might even mention .. the very latest ALBERT picturebook.. ALBERT AND THE THIEF. Officially publishing on September 10, this latest adventure.. Picturebook 8 in our Albert series .. sees precious things vanishing in the garden. Albert and his pals turn detectives.
Early copies of the books landed at Albert HQ the other day.. so we did some posing. Obviously. Orchestrated by real Albert.
You could pre-order a copy of ALBERT AND THE THIEF here :
More travels, more events and more news very soon. Thanks to everyone for all the support you show us.
Til next time…
