We hope you had a fabulous Christmas and Holidays.
This is our last Blog before the dawn of 2024 so let’s take a look back at highlights of 2023.
LOOKING BACK.. OVER MY SHOULDER…
We have to say it’s been a super year. Real Albert enjoyed some lovely weather and had some incredible feeds thanks to good supplies of dandelions and other goodies. We will overlook someone or something in this list of memories. There has been too much to remember almost. But we will do our best to cover everything.
We launched our first Board Book – ALBERT and his Friends .. and our first Activity Book ALBERT PUZZLES AND COLOURING .. Both seem to be proving popular as word spreads on them.
Looking ahead .. 2024 will see the addition of new Board Books ALBERT 123 and ALBERT ABC.. We are very excited.
Our friends Hugg n Bugg added to picturebook FINDING HOME with the release of picturebook THE COMB .. and 2024 will see a new adventure for them too.
We added to the ALBERT picturebooks with ALBERT AND THE POND and ALBERT AND THE SHED… and there will be more stories in 2024.
In a wonderful development recently – the first two ALBERT picturebooks ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN and ALBERT AND THE WIND have been translated into Korean and are now available in South Korea. Of course, they are also available in Welsh as well.
We hope 2024 will bring many more international versions of our stories.
There is almost too much to mention everything that happened through 2023. We’d like to cover as much as we can in Thank yous….
Thank you to ALL the schools we have visited sharing facts about real Albert, talking about writing and sharing our stories. We have been all over the place…
Massive thanks especially to Cogan Primary School in Wales for voting our book ALBERT SUPERSIZE as winner of the Cogan Heroes Award. It was a thrill to visit and meet the children – who designed and made the awards for writer bloke Ian Brown and illustrator Eoin Clarke. A fab visit and a great honour.
Thanks to all the Libraries we visited. It was a thrill to meet librarians and to see our books in libraries across the country.
Thanks to ALL the bookshops we have visited with our book singings and storytime events. Independent shops and chain shops.. We really cannot thank everyone enough for the support shown.
Thanks to all the Book, Literature and Literary Festivals we have visited. These have taken us to Wales… to Merthyr Tydfill and to Bristol and Bootle and Darlington and Whitley Bay. More Festival visits are planned for 2024 already… Look out for us.
Thanks to all the Radio presenters who let us talk about Albert, Hugg n Bugg, our books and more on their shows.
Thanks for all the Press and articles in magazines and newspapers.
Thanks to all the Bloggers who wrote about our books – with some amazing Praise for them all.
Thanks to everyone who shared pictures with us.. From schools, artwork, dressing up for World Book Day.. You have all been great.
