HELLO – welcome to the very latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
Lots going on.. even though it is holiday time for many.
As you know.. we love to receive YOUR Reviews, comments, feedback and shout outs.. we love to receive them from anywhere.
So, we were super pleased to see our picturebook ALBERT AND THE POND selected as a Summer Reading pick by book blogger Fallen Star – aka Mary Esther Judy. We truly appreciate the selection.

It’s been hard to miss the Euros football competition recently… and the triumph of the England team. Mind you, in their last 3 games, the team did leave it a little late to secure the results. So, even ALBERT had a tricky time watching…
This bit of fun went down well on our social sites… Remember, we’re on tiktok, X. insta, facebook, youtube and we’re here at the ALBERT website. Many congratulatuions to the Lionesses!

We have been in the thick of more celebrations.. or shellebrations.. Helping Hertfordshire Libraries to mark their Centenary… Yes, 100 years of the Herts libraries…
We were delighted to be invited to join the celebrations with ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg storytime events at libraries in Tring, Berkhamsted, Ware and Hertford.
We had a super time and we hope all who came along did also. It was wonderful to meet so many new and established Albert and HnB fans and readers.
There was some amazing crafting.. making terrific tortoises… We handed out colouring sheets and stickers. And we were also pleased to gift some signed, dedicated Albert and HnB books to the libraries we visited.
Here is just some of the action…..

Supersize thanks to all who came along.. to the amazing Librarians and all the teams at the Libraries and to Hertfordshire Libraries for thinking of us.
Please do support YOUR local libraries.. and all libraries. They are amazing assets.
We made another storytime visit too… returning to Little Mischief Stay and Play in South Chingford… Thanks to everyone involved. A brilliant time!

Thanks as ever for all the support you show us. We are most grateful.
More news very soon. Til next time…
