HELLO and welcome to the very latest from ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
We have been on our travels .. big time. All looking to introduce our new ALBERT picturebook ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS to readers all over the place.
After our wonderful travels around Surrey and Hampshire with Blue Bear bookshop… next we were off to Hertfordshire and to our good friends at Wood End School in Harpenden.
They created a great Poster to let everyone know we were coming and then we had a super day visting 5 classrooms and talking about our ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books and much more – especially ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS.
Big thanks to everyone involved… especially Librarian Eszter.
Next we were on our way to Wales.. and to Abercynon primary school.

Then we made a dash back to England… to be part of the super Christmas Shopping Evening at Waterstones bookshop in Brentwood, Essex…
Great to meet other local authors. A super event.
Then… BACK to Wales.. to team with ace indie booksellers Bookish bookshop of Crickhowell and Abergavenny.
It was a case of back to schools…
Over two days we were delighted to visit hundreds of schoolchildren at Ebbw Fawr Learning community, Blaenau, Gwent … Ysgol Y Mynydd Du at Talgarth, Powys… Willowtown CPS in Ebbw Vale, Gwent .. and Raglan CiW Primary in Raglan.

Then we moved onwards to team with more ace indie booksellers at Griffin Books bookshop in Penarth.
Over 3 days we visited hundreds of schoolchildren with our books. Events took place at Evenlode Primary school, Penarth… the very aptly named Albert Primary in Penarth .. St Andrews Major Primary, Dinas Powys … Cogan Primary (who so kindly gave us an Award a while ago for ALBERT SUPERSIZE) in Penarth .. and to Grangetown Primary in Cardiff.

We’re delighted to say that not only were our books – especially ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS – given a warm response by the children at the schools we visited… some nice responses are still coming in as Reviews. This 5* Review calls our festive tale DELIGHTFUL, WONDERFUL and LOVELY… Which is very pleasing indeed.
Several more events in the diary before the big Festive break…
On Saturday December 6 from 11am we will be at Jo’s Bookshop in Chingford for a special Christmas storytime. Storytelling, tortoises, yetis, dinosaurs and giveaways…
… no sooner had we got back from our travels in Wales than we were asked to pop back to Waterstones bookshop in Brentwood to sign fresh copies of ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS.. which we were delighted to do.
Then there was some good news for our Spanish speaking friends – or those possibly learning Spanish.
The Spanish version of ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN is now available from Amazon ALBERT AL REVES – either as a kindle version or as a Print on Demand book. Check our regional Amazon sites.
