Lots going on as we race towards launch / publication day for our 10th ALBERT picturebook – ALBERT AND THE LONG NIGHT.
In a way, it is our sort of Hallowe’en book with night noises, bats, owls and other nocturnal animals… The garden gang and Albert are being disturbed by night noises. So, they decide to stay up and investigate. The idea for the story started during our many school visits. It was surprising how many children confused the meaning of the words hibernation and nocturnal…
We are explaining this all over the place in the build up to launch day..
Not least on BBC Radio… We were delighted to head back into the studios of BBC London to chat with Shay Kaur Grewal. Always lovely being interviewed by Shay who is very generous with praise for our books.
A couple of days later we were being interviewed by Leo Ulph across BBC Radio Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Thanks to all those working on the shows.
Coming up we will be chatting with BBC Radio Cornwall.. and with BBC Radio Wales. We can’t wait.
We are chasing more publicity too… in other parts of the world.
We were invited to do a Guest Blog for US writer / book blogger Kali Kuzma. It was a lot of fun to do – thanks to Kali.
AND we have another book launch to shellebrate.. in Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania… Our books have been there a while but in September we launch ALBERT AND CHRISTMAS our 9th picturebook. Very exciting as the summer setting of the Christmas adventure is perfect for the southern hemisphere (we think). We have interviews, podcasts and blogs coming up.
We were delighted to receive this early bit of praise from Australian book blogger Little Squirrels Bookshelf… who called our books a FUN SERIES. We can’t wait to hear what people have to say about Christmas!
