HELLO – and welcome to the latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
It has been a VERY hot summer in the UK and especially in the London area where Albert is based. Real Albert has been doing a lot of shade-seeking and a lot of digging into cooler earth. Cool baths too. We know it has been a difficult time for tortoise wranglers out there – with a lot turbo powered by the heat and quite a few escapes. We hope all our tortoise chums are OK.
Although it has been hot, lots of work going on.

Our new book ALBERT AND THE LONG NIGHT is imminent and we have been busy signing copies in bookshops and, we’re pleasded to say, we have also been able to gift copies to local libraries.
We previously swung by Hale End Library and gifted two copies…

This week we popped copies into Walthamstow Library…

and also at Wood Street Library..

and then on to North Chingford Library with more copies to gift..

Once the books are logged in, they will be available to loan.
We will be placing more ALBERT AND THE LONG NIGHT into more libraries soon.
Thanks to all the librarians… Please do support libraries – great local assets.

With the launch of ALBERT AND THE LONG NIGHT just around the corner.. we are deep into promotion and publicity.
We were delighted to chat with Zaileen Hewins on BBC Radio about the book and about real Albert and much more. The interview went out on BBC Radio Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Suffolk and Norfolk covering most of the east of England.
Thanks to Zaileen and all involved.

In the next few days we will be heading into the studios of BBC Radio London to chat about the new book with Shay Kaur Grewal ..

and soon we will be chatting with BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Kent, Surrey & Sussex plus BBC Cornwall. Please listen out and check our social sites for all updates.
Lots more going on … including ..
Do please remember our books are also available in several translations.. Maltese, Korean – of course Welsh .. and Spanish.
The Spanish version of ALBERT UPSIDE DOWN is ALBERT al Reves and it’s available via Amazon. You can find links on this website or search regional Amazon sites.

Lots more from us soon as we launch the new book – once again inspired by real Albert.
Thank you as ever for all the support you show us.
Til next time…
