HELLO – and welcome to the very latest from ALBERT the tortoise HQ and our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
SO much occurring…
It’s been out for a little while, but we have just had a lovely run of praise and super responses to our first ALBERT Board Book Albert and his Friends. It’s the first of our Board Books with ALBERT ABC and ALBERT 123 coming later this year.
In ALBERT and his Friends we meet our favourite tortoise .. and his garden firends and a little trait about each creature. Aimed at 0-3 but with fans of all ages, it seems.. there are easy wipe and thick pages.
First up we heard from Katy’s Book Shelf book blogger who hailed the book as BRILLIANT,….
Thanks so much – we are truly grateful.
Then – we were thrilled to see a lovely post about ALBERT and his Friends from indie bookshop Tell Tales Books in Warrington, Cheshire… They called the book ENDEARING … GENTLE, KIND AND COSY .. PERFECT FOR THE YOUNGEST READERS… How nice is that?!
There was also Praise being handed out to the new picturebook featuring our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg .. THE SURPRISE… The 5* Review called the book A MUST READ… and added CHILDREN WILL ADORE THE FABULOUS ILLUSTRATIONS
There was also praise for the book from book blogger Jill Bennett .. aka Red Reading Hub.. who called the book DIVERTING DAFTNESS and SPLENDID…

Before we knew where we were it was time for our ALBERT the tortoise, Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime sessions in Kent.. Starting at Waterstone’s bookshop in Orpington… A great visit. Thanks to all who came along and to the bookseller team.
The next day we were at Waterstone’s bookshop in Bluewater shopping centre… Another ace visit .. Big thanks to all who came along and to the booksellers there. Also thanks to the Team from Helen’s House Childminding… who shared some Action Shots with us…
We met some lovely NEW fans of ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg over the two days .. and it was wonderful .. and very flattering for a teacher to post this on their twitter / X feed… We hope the pupils enjoy the books…
