An amazing few days recently.
We went on a mini tour of Wales! .. to the Cardiff area and it was amazing.
BIG Diolch to everyone involved…
We were delighted to visit Cogan Primary School in Penarth to collect the COGAN HEROES PICTUREBOOK AWARDS judged and vited by the schoolchildren.. We won for the Albert book ALBERT SUPERSIZE in English and Welsh.
A wonderful event saw us meet the children, chair of Governors, the Head and the Mayor of Penarth..
It was a special treat to meet the children who votes for us and to read Supersize to them.
We did quite a lot of posing too…
We also visited Rhws Primary school in Barry .. with our Albert and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytime..
We also had a fab time at Romilly Primary school in Barry with our storytime …
Each of our school visits was supported by award winning bookshop Griffin Books in Penarth. massive thanks to Mel and team Griffin… we were super pleased to hold a storytime event in the shop as well..

Then we headed to the National Trust venue Dyffryn Gardens… where we signed a stack of Albert books – and even personalised some for visitors from Australia!
Thanks to all at Team Dyffryn.. We hope to visit again to hold a storytime event there!
Lots to come from us in coming weeks.. we’re pleased to say.. Including more radio.
And that includes a catch up chat with Gilly Hope at BBC Radio Newcastle to talk about new Albert book ALBERT AND THE POND and new HnB book THE COMB. .. We will also be talking about our planned visit to return to the Northern Children’s Literature Festival in October in the north east of England… Last year we made it on to the telly during the festival.. who knows this year.
