HELLO – welcome to the very latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ .. with our good friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg.
Real Albert has been enjoying a run of grand weather days – hot and sunny.
A chance to do some posing to help with marketing…
Not long now til the official launch of Book 5 in the ALBERT series of picturebooks ALBERT AND THE POND on June 15. But it is landing with bloggers, bookshops and is out there online already.
In fact, we had a great time signing a stack of the new book – and piles of our others on a lovely return visit to Waterstone’s bookshop in Orpington, Kent. Not far from Albert’s spiritual home – Gravesend in Kent, where he was found, adopted, lived and named Albert more than 55 years ago.
Supersize thanks to all the staff at Orpington and all those that we read stories to and who bought our books .. both ALBERTs and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks.
Lots of action shots …
Our visit went so well.. we were asked to return immediately..
AND we have now scheduled TWO visits to Waterstone’s bookshops in Kent during the school summer holidays for ALBERT and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebooks storytimes..
We will be at Waterstone’s in the Bluewater shopping mall on August 22 from 11:30am and at Waterstone’s Orpington on August 24 from 11:30am… Lots of reminders to come on our social sites and right here.
Those dates will tie in with the launch of a very exciting NEW venture for us and Albert… Lots more news and detail on this to come but we thought it might be nice to have a run of Board books for first time and early readers.
So, we are starting them – launching on August 22.. with ALBERT AND HIS FRIENDS..
As, we say, lots more to come on this – and others in the series. But for some it can be ordered now. Using this link…
We’re doing more Promo and Marketing for the launch of ALBERT AND THE POND picturebook.. and that means more radio appearances.
On Monday June 5 around 10:40am we’re joining Carla Greene at BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
Can’t wait to chat again with Carla – and we can mention our great visit to Lincolnshire recently to Sturton-by-Stow Primary and to Warren Wood Academy in Gainsborough.
Quite a few more radio interviews coming up. We’ll keep you posted right here and on our social sites.
Thank you as ever for all the support you show us. It is truly very much appreciated.
More next time.. Til then..
