On the road & air

HELLO – the latest news from ALBERT the tortoise HQ with our special friends Hugg n Bugg …

Lots of travel and lots of events occurring.

First off, we were pleased to mark International Children’s Book Day. A special day aimed at encouraging children to read and to have access to books.

We visit many schools, bookshops, libraries and festivals now and offer storytelling sessions, talks about being a writer and illustrator… It is wonderful to be a small part of efforts to spread the word about the joy of words to new generations.

Then we were on our travels again…

First to Waterstone’s bookshop in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. A top day…  Massive thanks to all at the shop and to everyone that came along. Happy reading.

Onwards – to Southwold in Suffolk and to Southwold Books .. a very early supporter  of our Albert books. We were delighted to hold a storytime event and then to sign many copies of Albert books and Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books. Thanks to all who came along and to all at the bookshop.

Before we knew where we were, a lovely Review of new Hugg ‘n’ Bugg picturebook THE COMB landed. Thanks to blogger Jill Bennett for such lovely praise.

Back at base and it was time to sort a refreshed interior display at our local library – for both the Albert book series and the Hugg ‘n’ Bugg books. Thanks to all involved for inviting us to display. It’s a real thrill.

We’d like to wish everyone a Happy Easter if you mark it. We will be on the radio on Easter Sunday around 2:10pm talking all things Albert, Hugg ‘n’ Bugg and more with Lorna Prichard on BBC Radio Wales.

Thanks to everyone as ever for all the support.

More news soon. Til next time…
