Hello – and Happy New Year.. we hope the Holidays, Christmas, Festivities and New Year were good to you.

Of course, as usual, real Albert the tortoise is sleeping through everything. But Albert HQ has been celebrating.

We’re back to work now – and 2023 has started with a bang.

You know how we love to receive YOUR Albert book poses. So, we were thrilled to receive this… A happy young reader with his copy of ALBERT SUPERSIZE. We spy a tort as well!!

Please keep sharing YOUR pictures with us. We love to see them.

Our interview with Charlie Burley – which we recorded a bit before Christmas – went out on December 27 on BBC Radio Nottingham. Thanks to all involved.

Also, we were delighted to swing by Waterstones bookshop at Bluewater shopping centre In Kent so early into the New Year to sign fresh books.. and to sell a few too.

Thanks to all the Bookseller team there. We hope to do a storytime event there covering all our Albert titles and the new Hugg n Bugg book FINDING HOME too.

Next week, also barely into the New Year and new term, we have been invited back to Sydney Russell school in Dagenham to talk about real Albert, writing and for storytimes with nearly 250 children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our last visit there – nearly a year ago.

Loads of school visits already booked up for this coming year. Do get in touch if you would like to discuss a visit.

More from us soon.

Til next time…
