WHAT A WEEK

HELLO – the very latest news from Albert HQ (sharing space with our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg as well) and what a week it has been.

Our friends Hugg ‘n’ Bugg (the messy yeti and the mountain flea) officially published in paperback the picturebook Hugg ‘n’ Bugg FINDING HOME, set in the Himalayas.

Amazingly a copy is en route to actual Mount Everest – part of a sponsored trek for Bookmark Reading Charity. More posts on this as the journey develops and the book heads to 5,500 metres.

We have combined publicity for H n B with our own launch of new Albert picturebook ALBERT IN THE AIR…
We had great chats on the radio with with Emma Gill BBC Radio Cornwall

Also chatted with Eliza Phillipides at BBC Radio Kent

And we caught up once more with Bernie Keith at BBC Radio Northampton

Delighted to say we collected some lovely reviews for HnB FINDING HOME and ALBERT the tortoise ALBERT IN THE AIR

Also – thanks to the Book Council of Wales, children are enjoying new books – and they include copies of ALBERT SUPERSIZE…

In the thick of all this writer, wrangler bloke has been doing a series of half-term storytime events at Waterstone’s bookshops all over the place..

Like Waterstones St Albans in Hertfordshire

Waterstone’s Orpington in Kent

and Waterstones Truro, Cornwall.

Thanks to all involved. There is lots more happening – and we will keep you posted right here. More soon.. Til next time…
