The latest news from Albert HQ and we have much to tell you..
First off we visited a great school .. Wood End in Harpenden in Hertfordshire. The visit was prompted by the school librarian and we are most grateful for the invitation. The school has great in-house libraries and made our writer bloke and Albert’s wrangler most welcome as we visited Nursery, Reception and Years 1 and 2.
Thanks to everyone at the school for a great welcome and for some top questions and interest in Albert.
We received a great Pose Pic from a fan .. a Tortoise fan called Torchy who posed with his human’s Albert the tortoise Tote bag. We LOVE seeing YOUR poses with the Albert goodies.. Books, T shirts, Totes .. Please keep sharing them.
The week ended with a major event .. our visit to the inaugural Brockley and Lewisham Literary Festival in south east London. What a great event based at St John’s Church and centred round the Crofton bookshop.
We did storytime and talked about real Albert and tortoises and turtles – and dinosaurs. Thanks to Crofton Books, all the organisers and everyone who turned out – especially those who bought a book which we were happy to sign with a personalised message. Well done to all the organisers and helpers at the event. It was lovely to be a part of it and to introduce the world of Albert the tortoise to so many people.
We have so many more exciting things coming up.. Including our BIGGEST tour yet when we head to the South West of England…
